Pete and I just found out that we live right next to a Rhododendron Garden so we decided to take a little day trip there. I thought one of the coolest things at the garden was this bridge. Ever since I married Pete I have had this new found appreciation for bridges...I think it is kind of funny.
Neither Pete nor I were really sure what a rhododendron was so we spent most of our time there debating whether the rhodedendron where the flowering bushes or trees. It turns out that they are both rhododendrons. I thought these red ones were really striking.
This pink flower ball was pretty rad too.
Pete and I also thought this wall was really neat. It has plants growing out of it!
Anyhow we discovered that we can get in free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (otherwise 3$ per person). I think we will probably make another trip there soon. It was so beautiful. Besides the flowers and the bridges there were also lots of cool looking ducks, geese, and even a blue heron. (The geese weren't too nice. One of them hissed at both me and Pete and I thought it was going to attack me. Needless to say I took the long way around.)
