This years balcony garden is up and running.
I wasn't planning on having a garden this year because I am moving around so much but at my last rotations one of the patients left 15 tomato plants and I couldn't resist....I took 4. Then one of our neighbors in Portland who is studying horticulture said he had planted hundreds of tomatoes for school and didn't know what to do with all of them...Pete offered to take 3 and I couldn't be happier. Today when we went to get pots and cages for the tomatoes I saw some basil and jalapeno starts that I just had to have. Needless to say my garden is much larger than anticipated. It is going to be a huge ordeal in 8 weeks when I move back to Portland and want to take all my plants with me.

I like all your fun hike posts! Your garden looks great...I kill everything I touch. Farmers Market is my friend.
Yummy, yummy! Looks delicious!
